Chi Sao Clips
Here is a basic chi sao exchange between John Kang and Edgar Chan, broken
into four sections. While not demonstrating perfect form, these sequences
still show the sticking, constant fluidity, and relaxation that
we emphasize in the beginning stages of sticky hands practice. On the
average, a beginning student can attain this type of fluidity within 3
months.
Each clip is about 8 seconds long and about 2M big. It
requires Quicktime 6.0 or greater to view.
NEWS (As of Sept 21, 2005):
New West End Class in the Making
John Kang is considering a new West End class for a small group of 3-5 beginners. Ideally, the class will start with
young professionals who are laid back but dedicated, inquisitive and intelligent, in at least "fair" physical condition,
and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, willing to commit 4-6 hours a week to training. No Ego or Hotheads, please.
Times, Location, and Cost are still up in the air, but it will most likely be in the Near West End, three nights a week.
