Elective Programs

In addition to our core Wing Chun Kung Fu curriculum, individual branches offer special topics to help improve martial skills.

Conditioning
An important aspect of training, body conditioning plays a vital role in increasing strength, flexibility, endurance, explosiveness, and other important attributes. While we do basic conditioning exercises in regular classes, we can also tailor training programs to individuals.

Women's Safety Awarness
Self-Defense is a combination of several attributes, of which Awareness plays a significant role. Our women's safety awareness programs systematically teach women ways to spot danger and oftentimes handle a problem before it ever reaches physical confrontation. We also teach good habits for protecting yourself and your home.

Practical Self-Defense
Our core curriculum attempts to look at Wing Chun from many different angles, including practical self-defense. This program emphasizes self-defense basics, including predator mentality, easy-to-remember techniques, and more.

Competitive Fighting
While many people argue that Wing Chun Kung Fu is not meant for the ring, competitive fighting still remains a way of training at a higher level of intensity: while one might argue that swimming in an indoor pool will not prepare you for swimming in rough Ocean waters, it is better than no swimming knowledge at all! Our Competitive fighting program helps train our students to prepare for tournaments, with emphasis on fighting according to the rules, conditioning, and more.

Cross-Training Basics
In order to understand how Wing Chun can work against other styles, the first step would be to learn the basics of commonly used fighting arts. We teach the basics of Western Boxing, Muay Thai Kickboxing and Wrestling/grappling since these are popular styles that cover a broad range of attacks.

Qin Na
Literally meaning "Seize Grab," Qin Na is a common component of many martial styles. It can be easily integrated into Wing Chun, especially after a student has developed good sticking hands skills. design: John Kang, Jasan Fujii
