Purpose
Turning provides an easy way to move one's own centerline outside of the line of an attack. The training process starts from individual drills to pair drills to chi sao. One must focus on uniting the horse with the waist in turning.

Objectives:

  • Shift with the entire foot
  • Coordinate upper and lower body
  • Don't overreach with shoulder
  • Defend vs. wild swings
  • Turn only when necessary in chi sao
