Siu Nin Tao: Na Sao to Lan Sao

Lift your hands upward at the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions. They should reach even with the top of your head Sweep your hands inward, crossing the left hand over the right as your upper arms come parallel to the central plane. Drop your arms downward, so that your arms are in front of your nipples and your shoulders are completely relaxed.

  • 90° angle at the shoulder joint and elbow joint.

  • Covering the upper body
  • Pulling an opponent into a punch
  • Pinning hands with falling lan sao
  • Lan sao can be raised to protect against hooks

    Differences:

  • Most Wing Chun schools just rise into double lan sao, without the la sao motion
